Waste Disposal

A few years ago, the municipality of Zoetermeer changed the collection of waste, bulky waste, rubble, garden waste, etc. Below is a brief explanation. If you would like more information, please contact the municipality of Zoetermeer.

Old paper:
You can offer old paper every Wednesday in paper containers near the downstairs entrances, intended for a good cause. If you cannot offer your old paper on Wednesday, you will have to dispose of it yourself. For example in the parking lot of the Alferbos and in the parking lot of the Meerzicht Shopping Center (side Jumbo)

Plastic, glass and clothing:
You can deposit plastic, glass and clothing in the containers in the parking lot of the Alferbos or in the containers in the parking lot at the Meerzicht Shopping Center (Jumbo side).

Household waste:
You can deposit your household waste or vegetable, fruit and garden waste (VFG) in the underground containers at your own entrance. You do need a so-called Diftar key for this. To obtain a Diftar key, you should contact the self-delivery depot of the municipality of Zoetermeer on Argonstraat. If you want to know which items you can and cannot deposit in these underground containers, the municipality is the appropriate institution.

Bulky waste/Debris:
You are responsible for the removal of bulky waste and rubble. You must store these items yourself, temporarily or otherwise. The association no longer provides for this. In order to offer bulky waste for disposal at the designated place, an appointment must be made in advance with the municipality of Zoetermeer, tel. 14079. You can also present bulky waste and rubble yourself at the self-deposit depot of the municipality on Argonstraat in Zoetermeer. Consult the website of the municipality of Zoetermeer for opening times of the depot. Rubbish is not collected by the municipality. You will have to dispose of that yourself.
